The RFID used for wireless communication to identify, track, and manage various objects or individuals. It consist of RFID tags, readers, and a database systems.

Features:

  • Access Control: It’s frequently used for access control systems in buildings, offices, and secure areas. Especially employees or authorized individuals can use to enable cards or badges to gain access to specific locations.

  • Payment Systems:  Some contactless payment systems use RFID technology. It can be used for quick and convenient transactions by simply touching them on a card reader.
  • Passports and Identification Cards:  There are some passports and ID cards now incorporate Smart and RFID chips to store and transmit personal information securely and efficiently. This provides quick and reliable identity verification.
  • Medical Applications:  This is used in healthcare for patient identification, tracking medical equipment, and managing inventory of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
  • Smart Labels and Packaging:  RFID tags are integrated into labels and packaging to provide information about a product’s origin, expiration date, and other relevant details.
